Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 42 of the ongoing IPL 2025 at their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, on Thursday, April 24.
This is the second time both teams are facing each other in the IPL 2025 season. On April 13, they met at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Rajasthan, where RCB secured a convincing 9-wicket victory against RR.
RR is looking towards a strong comeback after suffering four consecutive losses. They are currently in eighth position on the points table, with 4 points out of 8 matches they played. This match plays a crucial role for RR; if they lose in this match, RR will not have any chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, for RCB, this is an up-and-down season. They have won all their away matches but are struggling at home. Despite that, RCB are in third position on the points table with 10 points from 8 matches. RCB is in good form and has strong chances of qualifying for the playoffs and is eager to bounce back from their consecutive home losses.

The upcoming game might be thrilling, and the captain who wins the toss should look to field first, as chasing on this pitch would be easier.
