Neeraj Chopra, the silver medallist from the Paris Olympics, has announced he would compete in the Lausanne Diamond League competition on Thursday. Due to a groin injury, Neeraj, who set a season record with a throw of 89.45 meters in Paris, has only participated in one Diamond League tournament this year, in Doha.

On August 22, 2024, the eleventh Diamond League meeting of 2024 will be held at Lausanne, Switzerland's Stade Olympique de la Pontaise.
