How much will SRH Captain Ishan Kishan earn in IPL 2026?
Ishan Kishan is set to make his captaincy debut in the upcoming IPL 2026 and will be leading Sunrisers Hyderabad in the initial phase. On March 18, SRH announced that the previous captain, Pat Cummins, would be missing the start of the season. As Pat Cummings, the right-arm fast bowler, has been down due to a back injury, he will be missing the first few matches. Cummins was also moved out of the T20 World Cup. As Ishan has been experienced as captain from Jharkhand in domestic cricket and was also successfully able to lead the India U19 cricket team to the final of the 2016 World Cup.
Ishan Kishan had led Jharkhand in 2025-26 and had won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He also managed to move up the T20I squad for the World Cup after an excellent performance in his state team. In the mega auction in the 2025 IPL, he was also in high demand, and the Orange Arm had spent a huge amount on him.

SRH has bought Ishan Kishan for TS 11.25 Crore. Ishan was in high demand as Mumai Indians had started bidding along with Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals. The Mumbai Indians wanted Ishan Kishan as he had played for Mumbai from 2018 to 2024.
SRH made an entry in the bid right after the margin crossed 10 Crore and gave a huge amount, but he had a bad season where he only managed to win around 6 matches out of 14.
Pat Cummins led the side, which finished sixth in the points table.
SRH managed to end the season with a winning match, but they had lost back-to-back 4 matches after defeating the Rajasthan Royals. SRH failed to carry the momentum after the win. In the end, they only managed to win six matches, which were against the Delhi Capitals.
