Best DC Characters Who Need Their Own Video Game

DC been the most iconic comic book characters of all time, which also includes the likes of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The popularity has earned the video game adaptation. Outside of the influential Batman: Arkham series, DC has also struggled to have another hit. This was to be the next solid video game which adapted the Monolith Production Wonder Woman project, the cancelled and the Studios’ closure.

  1. John Constantine (Hellblazer)
John Constantine (Hellblazer)

John Constantine from the Hellblazer comic book series became increasingly popular as he was introduced to more mainstream DC movies, TV shows and Comic books over many years. The sorcerer has been featured in more well-known projects, and there is still some unfamiliarity with the characters, making him a solid pick to be adapted into the game.

The Green Lantern Corps have not been properly introduced in a video game in a meaningful way. While they may not be as popular as they were a decade or so ago, there are also many ways to integrate the different colored power rings into the story that could be well-suited as a video game.

The most projected superhero video game ideas, as the open-world Green Lantern action game, which would be great, and mixing the action of games like Marvel Spider-Man with the space-faring traversal skin of No Man’s Sky would probably be exciting for DC fans.

  1. Zatanna
Zatanna

Zatanna Zatara is also most powerful magic users in the DC universe, as she casts spells by reciting them backwards, and her exceptional abilities have earned her a place in the Justice League, as the being unique powers could make an interesting video game.

Zatanna might also be great in the action game, as Platinum Games’ Bayonetta, with her wide array of abilities, could make for some seriously crazy combos. The Justice League and Justice League Dark ties also bring some interesting characters from the DC universe to help, like BatmanJohnon Constine, Animal Man and Deadman.

  1. Katana
Katana

Tatsu Yamashiro, aka Katan, is a sword-wielding hero affiliated with groups like the Outsiders, Suicide Squad, Justice League of America and the Birds of Prey. More so than Zatana, she is also hardly given the highlight despite having a pretty cool origin story, which could be adapted into the video game effortlessly.

The tragic story of love and jealousy, the two brothers named Maseo and Takeo Yamashiro, were in love with Tatsu. She can also end up choosing to be with the Maseo, and ends up raising their own family, with the Tatsu birthing twins. Takeo joined with the yakuza and challenged his brother to a duel. A fire breaks out, and Takeo kills his brother with the sword known as the Soultaker, which was Tatsu’s end up for taking.

  1. Terry McGinnis
Terry McGinnis

Terry, who becomes the Dark Knight in the futuristic cyberpunk setting of Neo Gotham the features some new villains, some of Bruce’s old foes return to take on the Bat once again, and the basic premise of Batman Beyond lends well to the video game format. Terry being set up to become Bruce’s successor, who allows for the classic progression feature to be implemented seamlessly, the Dynamic between Bruce and Terry, which could lend to the story, really well to the story. The old characters, like the Joker or Hush, come back to the Arkham verse, which made for some hype moments if done correctly.
