1,000 Staff lays off from Epic Games as Fortnite revenue drops

Recently, we got news that Epic Games is laying off more than 1,00 employees as CEO Tim Sweeney confirmed that the cuts are tied to declining Fortnite revenue. In a message to staff,f Sweeney said the company is spending more than what they are making, ng which follows the downturn which began in 2025, which is now forcing Epic to take major financial actions.
