Dota 2 Esport World Cup 2025: Details and Schedule

Dota 2 has been one of the esports titles which is holding a notable tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup. The final event of the ESL Pro Tour will see all across the world descend on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the chance to earn $3m in money and points that can be contributed to the EWC Club Championship.

Before the event, we have everything to know about the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025 event, which will be taking place from July 7th to 19th, 2025.

There are 16 teams competing in the EWC will be divided into four groups, and the teams will play around the robinmatchess against each other. The top team from each group qualifies for the playoffs, as the teams which finish in the second qualifies for the second round of the Elimination Phase.

The two remaining teams advance to the first round of the Elimination Phase which takes from July 12th to 13th. In the Gauntlet bracket format, the teams which place third and fourth in the Group Stage which will play against each other, as the winner advancing to play the team which was finished second. The four teams from the Elimination Phase will be advancing to the Playoffs.

The Playoffs consist standard eight team in the single elimination bracket along the third place decider match. The Elimination Phase and the playoffs matchs will be with the three series and the Grand Final using to the best of five to determine and the eventual champion.

Defending Riyadh Master champion  Gaimain Gladiators befin the campaign in Group B, the featuring an in-form BetBoom Team and also heads into the event after achieving victory at the PGL Wallachia Season 5. The teams looking to continue the strong is Tundra Esports. The UK based organisation which has appeared in the several Grand Final the year, with the victories at the Blast Slam II, Blast Slam III and the FISSURE playground 1. 

The entering Dota 2 esports in November 2023, the hometown organisation of Team Falcons which is also in the contention for the Championship glory. The two runner up places at the FISSUER playground 1 and BLAST Slam III which has placed the team towards the top of Valve MOBA title.
